The Woodlands, TX. Residence

Since the foyer is the first impression of a home, my goal was to create a spectacular focal point for this grand-colonial-style house. Black and white marble tiles were carefully selected for the floor, and the pattern was specifically designed to accent the foyer and galleries downstairs. The Baccarat chandeliers add sparkle and sophistication. The elevator has been designed to provide accessibility and bring a modern amenity to the house. I used the same black and white marble tiles in a smaller size for the elevator floor, and the walls were uniquely decorated with a custom mural on paper. The translucent window treatment in the back hall is handwoven from premium sustainable natural fibers. Step lights were added to the staircase for safety. The upstairs floor hall is crafted in Northern American oak planks with hand beveled edges. The cathedral ceiling and the foyer ceiling were also hand-painted. I mixed antiques with contemporary art on many of the walls. The fine meticulous, handcrafted details and finishes create a luxurious, custom-designed space.
